At National Aquatics Center (Water Cube of Beijing, China) on 11 August 2008, Rebecca Adlington of Great Britain (UK) beat Katie Hoff of the United States with a timing of 4:03.22 in Women’s 400m Freestyle. Joanne Jackson, also of Great Britain, took bronze.
